Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.ģ. After DU loads select the flash drive main entry (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.Ģ. Then try booting from the flash drive via OPTION boot.ġ. However, if you have the means to do so you can clone the DVD to an 8 GB flash drive that has been partitioned and formatted Mac OS Extended, Journaled. I would almost assume the disc was defective. Sounds like the installer begins but then something causes the disc to eject. I'm afraid I don't know what to tell you.
